Mangrove Tree Planting
In 2021 the Caloco Community Outreach Program was established by the University of the Philippines Alumni Association-Camarines Sur Chapter.
Mangrove seedlings were planted in Brgy. Caloco, Tinambac, Camarines Sur. To celebrate the project’s first anniversary, a Beach Forest planting ativity was held on November 27, 2022, in cooperation with the Philippine Society of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery Bicol Chapter, Universidad de Santa Isabel Batch ’82, Zonta Club of Naga and Camarines Sur, CLH Sabang Volunteer Tutors, Tinambac LGU and DENR-Goa. Aside from beach forest planting, the PSO-HNS Bicol Chapter conducted an ENT medical mission and contributed flood lamps and sacks of rice which were distributed to the community leaders who took care of the mangroves. Other volunteers held a book reading session and gave free haircuts to children
