Thyroid Cancer Awareness Week: Free Health Services for the Community
The Eastern Bicol Medical Center, through EBMC Cares: The Saint Cosmas and Damian Project, in collaboration with the Philippine Society of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, Bicol Chapter, and the Catanduanes Medical Society, is observing the 4th week of September as Thyroid Cancer Awareness Week.
Services Offered:
- Free "NECK CHECK" every Tuesday and Thursday throughout September.
- Free thyroid ultrasound for qualified patients.
- Free thyroid surgery for selected patients.
- Free preoperative laboratory and diagnostic imaging for clearance required for thyroid surgery.
This initiative aims to promote awareness and provide essential health services to the community.
